KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - With the holidays approaching, one community in Kinston celebrated Thanksgiving a week early by feeding and giving back to those in need.
The Young Women’s Outreach Center, and their group called ‘The Good Gang,’ which stands for ‘guardian angels networking for God,’ set up a Thanksgiving feast to feed the homeless at the Friends of the Homeless Shelter.
The center says it’s a tradition that has been alive for more than 35 years, with no plans of stopping.
“We want to make sure the homeless get a hearty Thanksgiving dinner,” Joyce Clark, the center’s Executive Director, said. “A full course meal, in case they can’t get that opportunity, we provide this for them.
