EUGENE, ORE. - As the demand for assistance rises, local organizations like Neighbors Feeding Neighbors are calling for more volunteers to meet the needs of the community.

"If you happen to be in a situation where you have all that you need, you're also welcome to come serve with us in whatever way that you can," said Lisa Levsen, board president for Neighbors feeding Neighbors. "We need people to cook, shop, stock, serve, and clean up."

However, not all organizations share this need for additional help. Jennifer Denson of Burrito Brigade reported that they have more than enough volunteers. Similarly, First Baptist Church is managing with its existing volunteers, eliminating the need for outside assistance.
