WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Residents in west Wichita say Meadows Park needs more attention when it comes to walkability, pointing to overhanging tree limbs and branches that have been cut down and left in place.
Walter Cunningham and other neighbors say their requests to the city for help have gone unanswered for six months. The park has branches in the road and old trees falling down.
“The reason it’s cut right now is because residents have actually cut it so we can get through,” Cunningham said.
Cunningham said while the city did come out to look at the situation, not much was done.
“They said they’re getting on it... they came out here and they did about twenty percent of the work,” he said.
