ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A nearly hour-long, recently released documentary gives an inside look at the Clayton County Jail.
Filmmaker Tommy G showed viewers the jail’s pods, let them hear from inmates and highlighted major problems within the facility, ranging from violence to uninhabitable conditions.
After the documentary’s release, Atlanta News First spoke with families with loved ones held at the jail.
Chanda Dew’s fiancé, Tobias Johnson, is an inmate facing a couple of charges, including felony possession of a firearm. He told Atlanta News First he is innocent of those charges.
Johnson said he’s been stabbed in the jail, while also allegedly dealing with severe bug infestations.
