Both southbound lanes on the six-mile stretch of state Route 21 in Wayne County have reopened to traffic. Northbound traffic is reduced to a single lane, but is expected to reopen soon.

Safety improvements at the four intersections are wrapping up.

The roadway and intersections will be fully open through the winter months. Construction is expected to conclude on schedule next year.

CHIPPEWA TWP. − A major road construction project on state Route 21 is on schedule.

Major work is set to be completed by June 2026, according to an Ohio Department of Transportation spokesperson.
