An arsonist has been jailed after he set a number of fires around Staffordshire .

Tony Stockdale set fire to a wheelie bin at Longton Snooker Club and poured oil on the flames on april 23 this year.

Two days later, the 54-year-old set fire to a large commercial bin near The Wheatsheaf pub on Church Street in Stoke-on-Trent.

In the early hours of the following morning, a second bin near Tesco Express on Hartshill Road was found ablaze followed by a fire in an alleyway and another wheelie bin.

A further fire in a public bin was found with another four set alight on Gerrard Street that same day.
