LTA Research, based in Mountain View, California, plans to continue utilizing the Akron Airdock for airship testing and R&D.

LTA CEO Brett Crozier shared success stories of the company, like flying a proof-of-concept airship over the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, in part thanks to local workers.

Eventually, Crozier said, the company aims to provide humanitarian aid with the final airships, as well as cargo and passenger transport. Additionally, he floated the idea of an airship hospital.

Picture a hospital floating in the sky. Or a smooth, low-flying glide over a national park.
