A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three seperate house fires in Leicestershire this morning.

Three people have been taken to hospital after the blazes in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

Leicestershire Police say they believe the fires are linked and were caused 'deliberately'.

Firefighters were called to a house on fire in Holywell Avenue at 7.05am, followed by another house fire on Prestop Drive at 7.08am and another fire at home in Cliffton Drive at 7.19am.

Three people are in hospital following the blazes. A teenager suffered burn injuries and smoke inhalation, while another teen and a woman are being treated for smoke inhalation.
