A long-term Scottish SPCA resident stole the show on a new BBC Alba series which is all about rescue dogs. Gazza, who is currently housed at the Lanarkshire rehoming centre, featured on Cù Leis Thu? A Puppy for Padruig.

The nine-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier is currently in search for his forever home to live out his later years, after being a resident at the centre for almost a year. The lovely pooch arrived at the centre having been abandoned with two other dogs.

In the first episode of the show, viewers were introduced to Gazza and animal care assistant Janet Kirkpatrick, who spoke to presenter Peter MacQueen about Gazza’s background and how his life has been at the centre.

The episode will also provide advice and information to consider when rehoming a rescue dog. Cù Lei
