WHITESTOWN, Ind. — An initial hearing was held Friday morning for the Whitestown homeowner who was charged for his alleged role in the fatal shooting of a cleaning worker who went to the wrong house .
Curt Andersen, 62, has been charged with voluntary manslaughter after 32-year-old María Florinda Ríos Pérez de Velásquez, of Indianapolis, was fatally shot around 7 a.m. Nov. 5 on Maize Lane in the Heritage subdivision.
During the initial hearing, a Boone County judge set Andersen's bond at $25,000 cash, or $2,500 surety.
The judge set Andersen's trial to begin March 30, 2026, and said Andersen will have GPS monitoring but will not be on home detention if he posts bond.
Prosecutors had asked for Andersen's bond to be set at $50,000, but the defense argued that Andersen was a minimal fligh
