An investigation is underway after a young man and young woman were both shot in Philadelphia Thursday night.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., police were notified of a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman who had been dropped off at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia by a private vehicle. The man was shot in the arm and chest while the woman was shot in the abdomen and chest. Both victims underwent surgery. Officials have not yet revealed their conditions.

Investigators said they found spent shell casings along the 2100 block of South Norwood Street that night. However, they have not yet been able to make a connection to that shooting scene and the two victims.
