Aldi is shutting down a popular branch next week, however, it isn't all bad news as another branch is set to pop up imminently after the closure.

The supermarket is closing its 15-year-old Sheaf Street store in Daventry on November 26, but, just one day later shoppers will be treated to a brand-new store.

A new location at Abbey Retail Park will open on November 27, so customers don't have to worry about mourning their old shopping haunt.

Josh Edwards, Aldi store manager, told the Northampton Chronicle: “We can’t wait to open the doors to the new store in Daventry. It’s set to be a special day and having Olympic hero Sarah Jones join us will make it a morning to remember.”
