OLMSTED FALLS, Ohio -- Every eight years, Olmsted Falls convenes a charter review committee.
“Olmsted Falls is actively looking for conscientious, civic-minded residents who are willing to serve their community as members of the charter review commission,” Olmsted Falls Law Director Max Rieker said.
“Once established, the commission should review the existing charter and consider updates in keeping with best practices for municipal governance.”
Olmsted Falls Mayor James Graven has until Dec. 4 to nominate residents to the charter review committee, at which time City Council has 15 days to consider and vote on the approval of those nominations.
“The commission sets its own meeting schedule, but is required to present any proposed amendments within nine months,” he said.
