LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- The reimagining of Madison Park began this year with a new Birdtown connector path and installation of a loop path.

Next up are other key components of the Madison Park Master Plan.

Lakewood Mayor Meghan George said the city is budgeting $275,000 for preliminary design and public engagement work regarding Becks Pool.

“We’re going to completely redo the pool, similar to how Foster Pool was completely reimagined,” she said. “We’re looking forward to that getting underway.

“Our goal would be to complete public engagement, design and engineering in 2026 and then start construction right away.”

Just as the Foster Pool construction was started right after the summer season, the mayor said that’s the current plan for Becks Pool construction.
