CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Harrison County prosecutors are seeking a two-strikes habitual felon finding against Kameron Darnell Griffin, 25, an Ohioan recently convicted of first-degree murder and other felonies. The filing could result in extra prison sentence for Griffin.

Griffin, of Akron, Ohio, was convicted in October of first-degree murder with mercy, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and use or presentation of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The first-degree murder conviction stems from the Feb. 21, 2024, shooting death of 37-year-old Dallion Corbet Lewis, of Clarksburg. Harrison Sheriff's Sgt. Jon Flanagan led the investigation.
