GONZALES, La. (WAFB) - Detectives say a Gonzales man was arrested after they learned he sold alcohol to minors during their investigation into a shooting at his bar.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office says on Nov. 15, detectives investigated an early morning shooting at the Pelican Pub on Hwy 44 in Gonzales. Two people were injured.

WAFB previously reported that a 19-year-old was arrested in connection with that shooting.

During the course of the investigation, detectives say they also learned that the owner of the bar, identified as Joshua Johnson, 48, sold alcoholic beverages to minors who were present at the establishment on the night of the shooting.
