Traffic was heavy Friday morning at the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels, causing 30-minute delays into New York City, authorities said.
Disabled tractor trailers were reported in the express lane of the New Jersey Turnpike in Leonia and on the upper level of the George Washington Bridge in Manhattan, with the latter blocking a center lane.
As of 9:30 a.m., traffic was slow-moving on the Turnpike, I-280 and other major highways to the tunnels leading to New York, according to 511nj.org.
The travel time from turnpike exits into the city was estimated at 30 minutes or more, according to the website.
At the Lincoln Tunnel in Secaucus, traffic was backed up 3.5 miles to Exit 15W and on Interstate 280 in Kearny.
