Days after the Toronto Blue Jays fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers in a heartbreaking Game 7 loss, Dallas Green was processing his disappointment the best way he knew how: by writing new music.

“Right now I’m in the basement trying to write a song because I’m so upset about the Jays losing,” the Juno-winning singer-songwriter says from his Toronto home. “It’s going to help me get through it a little bit, and maybe someday somebody will hear what I’m working on.”

A noted Toronto sports fan, Green, who was speaking to Postmedia to promote Alexisonfire’s new four-track EP of covers, attended the final two games of the World Series.
