Lee Shuknecht & Sons Inc., an Elba farm equipment company, was founded in 1974 by Joan and Lee Shuknecht.

Lee, who grew up in Elba on a dairy farm, knew his way around the agricultural industry. While working for a local equipment dealer and then an industrial equipment manufacturer after high school, Lee was clued in on the face that some local farmers needed better onion harvesting equipment.
