Fire crews from multiple agencies are working to extinguish a large fire on White Court in Canton.

The Canton Fire Department is receiving assistance from several surrounding departments as firefighters battle the blaze in a three-story building.

Aerial ladder trucks from Buckheart, Pekin, and Havana fire departments are on scene, along with additional personnel and equipment from multiple agencies.

Fire crews have pulled back from inside the building after encountering heavy smoke on the second floor. Firefighters continue working to knock down the fire from outside.

Surrounding buildings have been evacuated as a precaution.
