COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio -

Brandon Kessler of Wellsville was sentenced Friday afternoon in a Columbiana County Common Pleas court on two charges, both third-degree felonies.

The 42-year-old pled guilty in September to obstructing justice and tampering with evidence—both charges stemming from a 2024 murder investigation into the death of 30-year-old Robert Herron. According to a secret indictment, Kessler had provided false information to police while they were conducting an investigation in reference to that case.

Kessler has been sentenced to three years in prison on count one and two years on count two. He is set to serve the jail time concurrently.
