Stakeholders from near and far argued the pros and cons of having a data center for a neighbor during a town hall Thursday in Whitehouse.
“We are going to experience doubling, tripling, and quadrupling of our utility bills, and until the data center industry is held accountable for their infrastructure needs, that’s going to continue, said Elena Schlossberg of northern Virginia. “This industry is building up infrastructure that won’t be able to be supported unless we pay for it.”
Ms. Schlossberg, executive director of Coalition to Protect Prince William County, spoke in a pre-recorded interview with Jerry Anderson, a local news personality. Mr. Anderson moderated the 90-minute event at Anthony Wayne High School, which included seven panelists.
