SOUTH HADLEY, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A breaking and entering incident in South Hadley has led to an arrest on Thursday. Around noon that day, an off duty police officer with the South Hadley Police Department had noticed a man who was known to the authorities riding his bike in the Woodlawn area neighborhood.
Officers said that the man had no reason to be in the area and went to check in on the suspect’s former residence. Upon arrival, police had noticed evidence of forced entry in the building and began a search of the property. The suspect was found hiding in the basement of the property shortly after.
He now faces charges of both trespassing and resisting arrest.
