LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Staff at the University of Louisville’s School of Medicine discovered a creative way to brighten the holiday season for kids at a nearby children’s hospital.

It’s an unusual way of spreading holiday cheer.

“December in Louisville is drab,” said Buffy Sexton, a program coordinator at the UofL Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology/Oncology. “It’s gray. You can only look out that window and see a parking lot so many times.”

The department is spicing up its office windows with holiday designs for its neighbors at Norton Children’s Hospital. Except the decorations aren’t your typical tinsel and garland.
