DURHAM, New Hampshire — The University of New Hampshire was recently awarded $2.1 million from the National Institutes of Health over the next five years to develop new treatments for diseases that impact millions of people every day.

The project will use computer models to study biological systems at the molecular level, providing possible drug therapies for diabetes, cancer, as well as viral infections... therapies that are not only safe but also less expensive.

Over the last five years, researchers at the University of New Hampshire have developed detailed 3D models of biological molecules, including proteins, DNA, and potential drug compounds.
