BROSSARD – The Canadiens announced on Friday that forward Florian Xhekaj has been recalled from the Laval Rocket, while forward Joshua Roy has been loaned to the Club’s American Hockey League affiliate.

This is a first call-up to the Canadiens for Xhekaj. The 21-year-old forward has suited up for 16 games with Laval so far in 2025-26, amassing four points (2G, 2A) and 44 penalty minutes.

For his part, Roy had been called up for a second time this season on November 16. He has now played three games for Montreal.

The native of Saint-Georges-De-Beauce, QC, has also made 10 appearances with the Rocket in 2025-26, posting seven points (4G, 3A) and a plus-4 differential.
