A Macomb Township woman has been convicted of attempted murder and likely faces years in prison for the summer 2024 stabbing of her boyfriend.
Jessica Marie Hayes, 30, was convicted Friday by a jury following a six-day trial in Macomb County Circuit Court in Mount Clemens for stabbing the man 14 times July 3, 2024 in his Clinton Township residence, according to court records. The jury deliberated for less than five hours.
Hayes is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 8 by Judge Jennifer Faunce. The charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
An attorney for Hayes declined to comment.
Police said they arrived at the 34000 block of Chope Place, east of Groesbeck Highway between 14 and 15 mile roads, and discovered a man in his 40s suffering
