YAKIMA, Wash. – Jason Alexander Logie, 36, of Wapato, was sentenced to 405 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for a 2023 fatal DUI crash.

Logie was convicted of Second Degree Murder after a jury trial concluded with a guilty verdict on in August of 2025.

The charges stemmed from a fatal crash on September 9, 2023, when Logie, driving under the influence, crossed the center line on North Track Road within the Yakama Nation Indian Reservation, striking another vehicle, killing the driver.

At the time of the incident, Logie was on a deferred sentence for a previous DUI and had multiple prior convictions for alcohol-related driving offenses. He also had an outstanding arrest warrant for a DUI Second Offense from 2018 in Lawrence, Kansas.
