University of Colorado Boulder police on Friday arrested a man they say sexually assaulted a woman on the campus in January.
Rylan Whitworth, 22, faces one charge of sexual assault.
He is currently enrolled at CU Boulder, according to spokesperson Nicole Mueksch.
Whitworth and the woman, who connected on Tinder in the fall, went to the woman’s residence on campus after they ran into each other at a bar in Boulder, according to an affidavit.
The woman and Whitworth kissed, then he pushed her down and forced her to have oral sex and intercourse with him after she said “I don’t want to” and began to cry, the affidavit states.
When police interviewed Whitworth, he described the encounter as consensual.
