SPOKANE, Wash. -- The City of Spokane installed new automated red light traffic safety cameras at the intersection of E Mission Avenue and N Greene Street. A violation warning period begins Monday, November 24th.
Mayor Lisa Brown's office says this is part of her package of traffic safety improvements.
The Spokane Police Department selected this intersection due to increased traffic safety concerns. The city says Mission and Greene is among the busiest intersections in Spokane and has been the site of 18 crashes since 2023.
A 30-day grace period will begin Monday, where violators will receive warnings. After that, drivers crossing through the intersection after the light turns red will be charged with a $145 infraction.
