A part-time substitute teacher with the East Baton Rouge Parish School District was fired after being arrested for allegedly forming an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Chloe Ephron, 24, was booked into the parish prison on Thursday for a count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
After allegations of the relationship came to light, law enforcement was immediately notified in accordance with district policy, an EBR Schools statement read.
"Protecting the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. Any behavior that violates this trust is unacceptable and will not be tolerated," the statement read. "We want to reassure our families and community that we remain committed to maintaining a safe learning environment and holding all employees to the highest standards
