HAMMOND, La. — A former Tangipahoa Parish deputy was arrested Friday following an investigation into inappropriate behavior.
Mike Johnson, 61, was booked on four counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and one count of malfeasance in office.
Johnson worked as a TPSO deputy for nearly four years.
Authorities said the investigation began this week after information was received that Johnson showed inappropriate pictures to juveniles during a recent security detail.
"He was immediately placed on administrative leave," a release said.
After completing the investigation, Johnson was terminated Friday afternoon and then arrested.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
