CROMWELL, Conn. (WFSB) - More than 300 girls and women from around Connecticut attended the Women in Leadership Conference, where some of the most successful women in athletics shared their experiences and motivated the next generation of female leaders.
The event was sponsored by the Connecticut Association of Schools and the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference.
Dr. Karissa Niehoff, the first female CEO of the National Federation of State High Schools, delivered a message about believing in yourself and building relationships.
“The message is multifaceted. Number one is believing in yourself and looking into the possibilities of your future. Relationships underscore everything,” Niehoff said.
