A woman died Friday, Nov. 21 after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing Sun Valley Boulevard, the Nevada State Police said.

The crash was reported at about 2:23 p.m. at Sun Valley Boulevard and Fifth Avenue. According to a preliminary investigation, a driver making a left turn from Fifth Avenue onto the boulevard hit the pedestrian as she crossed the roadway.

She was taken to a hospital, where she died from her injuries. Her name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, NSP said.
