TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - After a fire destroyed more than half of the Ignite Sign Art Museum on Oct. 18, co-owner Jude Cook is working to rebuild his collection and the iconic Tucson institution.

The fire wiped out more than half of the building and 500 items from Cook’s personal collection of neon signs and art. Cook, who co-founded the museum in 2018, said he feels like he’s starting over.

“Yeah, this’ll be completely different. It’s daunting to look at because this is even less than what we had when we started,” Cook said.

For the past month, Cook has returned to the museum daily to clean up ash, salvage what he could and work with a restoration team to clear out the space.
