Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene has announced she is resigning from Congress in January amid a public feud with President Donald Trump.
The shock news came after Ms Greene posted to social media bidding farewell to politics in a more than 10-minute video statement.
The Republican congresswoman from Georgia has recently criticised President Trump's foreign policy and apparent hesitation to release more files on Jeffrey Epstein.
Recently, President Trump accused Ms Greene of being a "lunatic" and going "far left".
In her statement, Ms Greene said "standing up for American who were raped at 14, trafficked and used by rich and powerful men, should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States, whom I fought for."
