OAKLAND CO., Mich. (WNEM) - Michigan State Police responded to U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin’s home for a bomb threat report on Friday.

A spokesperson for Slotkin said she was not home at the time. After searching the property, investigators confirmed everyone was safe.

The spokesperson said Slotkin is grateful for the quick response by Oakland County and Michigan State Police, adding that U.S. Capitol Police will continue to investigate the threat.

The threat comes just a day after President Donald Trump posted “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!” on Truth Social in response to a video that Slotkin and other lawmakers posted regarding the U.S. military.
