BOISE, Idaho — Boise Police have cited someone for filing a false report after an investigation into a Thursday incident in which a suspect allegedly entered a woman's home in southeast Boise while she was sleeping.

The Boise Police Department said Friday that one of the original reporting parties has been cited for filing a false police report. The man who Boise Police shared to its Facebook page and website has been taken down as police said "[He] has been fully cleared of any wrongdoing."

"Evidence indicates the adult male suspect who was cited initiated contact with the subject in the photos, inviting him to the house, without the female victim’s knowledge," Boise Police wrote in a news release.

Police said they are committed to the safety and well-being of their community.
