COTTONWOOD FALLS, Kan.(KAKE) — A three-semi crash early Friday morning shut down both northbound and southbound lanes of I-35 north of Matfield Green, causing hours of detours through Cottonwood Falls. The Turnpike has now reopened.
The crash happened around 5 a.m. at mile marker 119, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. A 2007 semi-truck was disabled in the median and across both lanes. A second semi struck the first, and a third semi then hit the trailer of the second truck.
