TV chef James Martin heaped praise on a guest appearing on his ITV programme Saturday Morning today (November 22), paying a heartfelt tribute to him.
The presenter revealed he had visited York bakery Cosgriff and Sons "incognito", which is known for its sourdough bread. He confessed that he had joined scores of keen customers and queued in the early hours to get his hands on a loaf, donning a hat to conceal his identity.
He brought the loaf home and enjoyed it with his mum, remembering: "I went wow, there's a reason why people are queueing up for this."
