A teenager who went into a forest with a claw hammer and plastic zip ties in his rucksack has been jailed after launching a violent attack on the girl he was with. The "dangerous" teenage boy was jailed for a 10-year extended sentence of detention after he attacked the girl when she rejected his advances.
The attack took place in an obscure wooded area in Bradford where the 17-year-old attacker, who cannot be named due to a court order , arranged to meet the girl in March of this year. The pair then strolled through the Royds Hall Dam area of Low Moor, Bradford.
Bradford Crown Court's Judge Smith said it was turning dark when the boy tried to kiss the girl. After she rejected him he turned violent and struck the victim at least five times in the head with the hammer, b
