Porridge is a perfect and filling breakfast to warm you up during the bitter cold mornings in winter, and is incredibly easy to make without having to buy a long list of ingredients. However, many people make the mistake of adding honey, sugar or cream to their porridge to enhance the flavour — but oats become sweeter as they cook so you do need to add much to make them tasty.
