City officials say they are reviewing concerns from parents after receiving an email describing recent interactions involving individuals seeking warmth inside the new Southeast Event Centre (SEC).
Email sent to City Council
An email was sent to the city and media that expressed concerns about encounters the writer's children have had in the SEC during sports activities. The email described several situations involving individuals inside the building with shopping carts of personal belongings and appeared to be under the influence.
It was also stated in the email that these interactions unsettled some young athletes and left families unsure about what to expect when arriving for games or practices.
