A mother of two says she was left with nothing after handing over her savings to Tinder predator Christopher Harkins, who posed as a successful businessman running a foreign currency exchange scheme.

Caitlyn – not her real name – matched with Harkins in London in 2020. At the time, she had recently separated from the father of her children and was vulnerable.

She told the BBC’s Disclosure podcast, Matched with a Predator , that Harkins initially tried to persuade her to go on holiday with him, a tactic he frequently used on women he targeted. When she explained she could not afford it, he claimed he could “help” by doubling her savings.
