Police are searching for emails, phone records and notebooks from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's personal protection officers.

The Met Police are said to be looking into claims the former prince asked a police bodyguard to find private details about his alleged accuser Virginia Giuffre in an attempt to discredit her.

Emails reportedly claim Andrew gave the officer her date of birth and confidential social security number in the US.

It is understood at least two of Andrew’s former protection officers have been spoken to by police investigating the claims.

The Met say they are 'considering whether any further assessment or review' of the case is necessary.
