BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Firefighters are looking into the cause of a two-alarm fire on Mollylea Drive in Baton Rouge.
Crews received a call about the blaze around 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, and rushed to the scene.
When firefighters arrived at the home, they saw the back of the structure engulfed in flames. Firefighters immediately began fighting the fire and searching the house for any potential residents.
Crews stopped the flames from spreading but had to call in the second alarm for additional firefighters and resources.
The blaze was brought under control about 35 minutes after firefighters arrived at the scene. They were able to contain fire damage to the back of the home. However, other areas suffered smoke damage.
