Tributes have been paid to the Primal Scream bassist and former Stone Roses musician Mani this week - and now fellow Mancunian icons Oasis have issued their own, at a gig in Sao Paulo. ‌

Gary 'Mani' Mounfield died on Thursday (November 20) aged 63. The musician from Crumpsall in Manchester rose to fame as the bassist for the Stone Roses until they disbanded in 1996, after which he joined Scottish rockers Primal Scream. ‌

Tributes have poured in from across the music scene and beyond, reports Manchester Evening News. The Stone Roses account on X wrote: "RIP our wonderful brother Mani. ‌

"The greatest bass player and friend we could ever have wished for."
