Manny Fernandez has lifted the lid on the meeting he had with Danny Rohl as he bided his time for a Rangers chance.
The central defender signed from Peterbrough United in the summer but, until yesterday, had appeared in just three matches. However, injuries to John Souttar and Derek Cornelius handed him his chance with Livingston the visitors, as he partnered Nasser Djiga in the heart of the back four.
He had an eventful day as he opened the scoring with a header from James Tavernier's delivery after just nine minutes. The 24-year-old was then fortunate not to concede a penalty as a goalbound shot struck his hand, a decision that left visiting boss David Martindale furious.
Fernandez was delighted to have been given the chance to start and mark it with a goal and is looking to keep
