An American version of the train, which will tour parts of southern Ontario, is also on the move and will finish its tour in Maple Creek, Sask., on Dec. 21.
A Holiday Train event features the illuminated train arriving, stopping in front of a crowd, and lowering its stage door so a band can perform. There’s a brief presentation with local food bank officials, followed by the band playing holiday and original songs. After the final song, the train moves on to the next stop.
The trains are adorned with LED lights and holiday decorations.
