STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Danny O’Connor scored a career-high 20 points and CSI/McCown overcame a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter en route to a 50-46 non-league victory over visiting Telecommunications on Saturday in New Springville.

The Dragons, who also received productive games from Saed Gheith (13 points, six steals), Pat Tucker (12 points) and Xavier Farley (school-record 21 rebounds), improved to 1-1 overall.

CSIM owned a 28-22 advantage at halftime, but the Brooklyn school outscored the Dragons 18-5 in the third quarter to take a 40-33 lead into the final eight minutes.

The hosts found themselves down 11 with 6:30 to go in the game when they exploded offensively to turn the tables.
